An emerald stream— pure spring water, Cold Mountain’s moonlight is luminous. In silence I realize my spirit is clear. Seeing the empty sky, things grow even more still.

This quiet, inner solitude, silence, calm ... we speak of today is allowed to happen, not gotten by being sought. As one might cultivate the ground in preparation for the garden, no amount of preparation is equal to the garden. The garden, actual, arises from the garden, in-potential~both being the garden. For inner quiet, one can engage varied ways of preparation, such as, counseling, medication, group meditation, and spiritual practices. Still, the quiet arises apart from all these preparations, the preparations never cause the quiet. So, there is no way to peace, peace being the way.
This meaning, no amount of effort can bring forth inner peace, for, precisely, this quietude naturally arises. All graces of Presence are manifestations of Presence, so express Presence, being the forthcoming of Presence. Peace arises from Peace, for Presence is Peace.
Peace is already present, cannot not be present, and the moment we see our un-peace and totally accept it in gracefulness, then we invite peace, the gate of peace opens to us.
Absolute, friendly attention opens to the grace of peace, and the energies of solace move within and, finally, engulf us from without. We, first, sought peace, we, now, walk in peace. We see we are peace, essentially, and cannot not be peace ~ In silence I realize my spirit is clear.

Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, "Speak to Aaron and his sons, saying, "Thus you shall bless the people of Israel: you shall speak to them...
'Yahweh bless you and keep you; Yahweh shine his face upon you and be gracious to you; Yahweh lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.'
So shall they put my name upon the people of Israel, and I will bless them."
